Haz conmigo lo que quieras (2003): 2/5
Of debt bunnies and dominatrices; of complex relationships and plain silliness, Haz conmigo lo que quieras or ‘Kill me Tender’ tells an odd tale and comes off as a purely comic spectator view of life. Set in a small town in Catalonia, we are witnesses to an unfolding neighborhood rumor which involves a young woman named Maribel, Nestor the widower – who has just recently discovered porn due to a satellite dish given by his daughter, and a whole lot of other one-sided characters we encounter along the way.
However, ‘Kill me Tender’ is certainly fun to watch as the absurd moments during the film pop up so randomly. Editing could be tweaked a bit though, as I’d prefer the Star Wars transitions to remain in the Star Wars movies and not in any other, particularly this one. It’s a happy ending for everyone at the end of the film; characters get to achieve happiness by either donning costumes or doing away with them. Despite the weirdness it’s a feel-good movie on its own accord.
